Training Underway

We are now fully immersed in training for our trip. So far we've gone over the following:

• Read the Book of Acts (learning about the establishment and growth of the Church, as well as exploring the pronouncement of the Gospel throughout) - ongoing until our departure
• Church Planting Introduction - ongoing 
• Cross Cultural Engagement - ongoing
• Drama training (as a part of the mini-crusades we will be leading)
• Public Speaking/Testimony training (this week)
• Working with a translator (this week)

We will also go over how to minister and share with a family, sharing the Gospel cross-culturally, and more!

Please pray for the students as they consume large amounts of info in a short period of time. Pray for wisdom and patience for them (and the leaders).

Also, do not forget to pray for the hearts of those we will be sharing with!

Hope for Kenya 2010

This summer the student leadership team of our church has the opportunity to join with the local, indigenous churches of Kenya in bringing hope to their people. While we will serve in a variety of capacities while we are overseas, our primary ministry goals are the following:

1. Plant (or begin the work of planting) a new church in a village or town that is in need of a Bible-based church

2. Lead local mini crusades in several villages and towns (students will utilize drama, music, their testimonies and the Bible to present the Gospel of Hope to the people)

3. Cultural engagement: spending a bulk of our time with the people of different villages and towns in the hopes of learning more about their way of life and culture.

4. Create long-term relationships with the churches already in the area in hopes of future partnerships and joint ministry ventures

Please join us in praying for this trip and partnership! We will be updating our progress in preparing for the trip, training notes, trip developments, prayer requests, support updates and more.
